Hi ya! 

 (That's what everyone says on the streets when you say hello).  This has been a good week for us. I love being able to work hard and be exactly obedient.  There really is a feeling of success that comes from working dilligently and giving your best efforts.  We only got one new investigator this past week, but we met a lot of good potentials and we have quite a few appointments set up with people we have met. 

Our new investigator is named Sheista and she is from Pakistan.   On Saturday we had a lot finding time so we mapped out some less-actives to stop by.  As we were walking down all of these streets we stopped and prayed that we would find a new investigator. I then asked Sister Hanks what her favorite number was and she said 14.  We knocked on random doors that we felt impressed to and met a cool guy from Romania.  Then we finally found a 14 and knocked on it. Sheista opened and let us in.  Apparently she had met a set of sisters a while back and had been given a BoM, which she read. But then she gave it back - odd.  She is Catholic and listened to us teach her about Joseph Smith.  She isn't the most solid of new investigators, but she really wants us to come back and meet her 3 young boys and she really wants to cook for us.  Hey, sounds like a plan!  We'll start teaching her from the beginning along with her boys and maybe, who knows, she'll get baptised!  (: 

But our investigators are alright.  Andrew is coming slowly and is still thinking about baptism.  Michael wants to quit smoking and drinking and be baptised.  We introduced the Stop Smoking program to him and he likes it, but he still thinks he can just quit on his own.  We have been praying night and day for him and have the faith that he can do it! 

The weather is still freezing! But we are surviving.  Just wear hats, scarves, two pairs of tights, boots, gloves, and walk real fast.  Ha ha!  But it does get lighter each morning so I think summer is still on its way.

Day 4: Thursday, 18 September 2014 Today was my first day going to my Digital Imaging class, taught by Sis. Caryn Esplin.  I am so excited for this class. The homework is just going to be fun stuff!  I took a class last winter from Sister Esplin and she is amazing! She is my career role model. I want to be just like her some day!  When I took her class in the winter, I received several awards from her because she liked my work so well.  Today, I again impressed her as I was able to recite back every person’s name back after we all introduced ourselves. There were only about 27 kids in the class so it was easy. I just have a good memory. So I won the Bright Idea award (a light bulb jar filled with M&Ms).  Anyways, about an hour after class, Sister Esplin called me and asked me if I would like to be her TA for one of her classes! Comm. 150 Journal

Gee whiz, it has been several years since I personally posted anything on this blog.  I don't even know if anyone evens looks at it, but hey, that's okay. I am starting my 8th semester of university and I am taking a class where I have to keep a daily journal.  I just have to write about something that happened to me that day. I've started it on a Word document, but I had the thought that I could keep on here and share unique experiences that happen in my crazy life. So here are the ones I have done for this week so far: Comm 150 journal: Day 1: Monday, 15 Sept. 2014 When I was in my first area on my mission, Newcastle Emlyn in Wales, I had this funny zone leader named Elder Hopkinson. He was from Leeds and had a great accent.
