Jelly = Jello: Don't tell people you eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! 7/9/12

Howdy ho!  So this week was really busy and it felt soooo long!  I did get the package on Tuesday at zone conference and it was AWESOME!  Oh man, it was one of the most exciting moments of my mission. Ha ha!  And on top of that I got 7 letters!  Apparently they had all been piling up in Birmingham.  I didn't recieve a single letter the whole month of June and I was thinking, What the heck, they've forgotten me already!  But nope. Mail just doesn't get down to Wales very fast from the mission home.  So now I have some repenting to do and a lot of letter writing.  All of the other missionaries were jealous and I just told them that they better start writing people back. Ha ha!  And I have discovered that one forever stamp will get a letter here.  You don't even need to buy an expensive international one!  How awesome is that!  But zone conference was fantastic.  Pres.Rasmussen and his wife are going to be amazing...

Last P-day in Cardigan 7/2/12

Man, Wales is soooo beautiful!  My favorite time of day is 8:30pm when we are driving home.  The sun pretty much never sets here.  At 10:30pm there it is still light and at 8:30 it is hanging in the lower horizon and it's simply gorgeous.  On the sunny days it is amazing as well. Ha ha!  Dad would like it here, because you can pretty much grow anything.  Everyone has beautiful flowers in front of their houses and all they do is put in the seeds and then the rain waters them.  It is the season for Foxglove. It's a pretty purple flower that grows like mad along in the hedges.  It's pretty cool.  But it does not feel like July at all just because it never gets that hot.  On a warm day it'll get into the 80's, but never the...

Life in Wales 6/27/12

Bore Da! Yep, it's been another fun filled week in Wales and Sis. Benson and I are both staying in Newcastle Emlyn for another transfer.  Sis.Benson will have been here for 6 months!  But we're excited that we get to move to our new flat together and that we can continue working with people.  We'll be moving next Friday ( 6 July).  A bunch of the ward is going to help us, which is so good because there is no way we would be able to get all of our furniture down the 4 flights of stairs we live up.  It's going to be a party!  Last Saturday we did a work over with the district leader and his companion.  We spent several hours in the town center of Carmarthen and just talked to people on the streets.  I was with Elder Brewer (DL) and man, he is good!  We gave out 3 books in like 2 hours and got 2 return appointments from people!  We even talked to a lady named Lindsey (yeah, that;'s how she spells it) and it was so hard not to say "...
