Birthday fun!


This is the birthday card Mom sent me. Ha ha! It has a detachable "Perfect Pocket Guy." You can take the guy off the front and carry him in your pocket if you wish. I took him off and put him on the fridge.
But the best part is that he talks. Ha ha! When you push the flowers, he has four different things he can say: "Aw forget about the game, lets just talk about us." " I couldn't decide between chocolates or flowers, so I brought you both" "Does somebody need a back rub?" "You lost weight didn't you?"
Ha ha ha ha! It is quite funny. He's just a little creepy looking, so I'm thinking about putting a different face on him. But it was definitely one of the more entertaining cards I've ever received.

Well, last night Marc invited me over for dinner. I was a little nervous, because he said some things earlier that had me nervous about what was going to happen at his place. But we got over there and all of his roommates were in the kitchen making Navajo tacos. I guess Marc's FHE group can;t do FHE on Mondays, so they do dinner on Sunday nights and they rotate and last night was Marc's apartment's turn, so a bunch of girls showed up and the big group of us ate dinner. It was fun, even though I didn't know any of the girls besides Karen. Marc even had bought me a gourmet cupcake from the Cocoa Bean for my birthday cake. He lit some little tea candles around it and they all sang to me. It was awesome, because he remembered that I am not a fan of cake, so he got me a very delicious cupcake instead.
Then later on Karen and I went to our neighbor's and we played Ninja destruction with some friends. I ended up winning about 75% of the rounds. Ha ha! And it wasn't that they were letting me because it was my birthday, I'm just that fast ;D Ha ha! I must have ninja blood in me or something.
Ultimately, it was a good day. I'm just glad I didn't have to go to school.

Gee whiz, it has been several years since I personally posted anything on this blog.  I don't even know if anyone evens looks at it, but hey, that's okay. I am starting my 8th semester of university and I am taking a class where I have to keep a daily journal.  I just have to write about something that happened to me that day. When it Rains it Pours

Day 4: Thursday, 18 September 2014 Today was my first day going to my Digital Imaging class, taught by Sis. Caryn Esplin.  I am so excited for this class. The homework is just going to be fun stuff!  I took a class last winter from Sister Esplin and she is amazing! She is my career role model. I want to be just like her some day!  When I took her class in the winter, I received several awards from her because she liked my work so well.  Today, I again impressed her as I was able to recite back every person’s name back after we all introduced ourselves. There were only about 27 kids in the class so it was easy. I just have a good memory. So I won the Bright Idea award (a light bulb jar filled with M&Ms).  Anyways, about an hour after class, Sister Esplin called me and asked me if I would like to be her TA for one of her classes! I headed to school this morning at 7:45am. I wasn't sure what the temperature was, but I realized it was in the negatives when I could feel my boogers freezing in my nose. I know it sounds gross, but you literally can feel your nose hairs become stiff as the moisture in your nose begins to freeze. It's quite the sensation. So I have my hood up to keep my ears and face warmer and there is a slight breeze, which makes it even colder! I had only been walking about 3 minutes when I noticed that the ends of my hair to my left was looking really white. As I looked closer, I realized that frost was collecting on my hair! I'm not quite sure why this happened. I had straightened my hair today, so it more dry than wet. The only thing I can think of, is that the moisture from my breath must have been collecting on the ends of my hair closest to my face.
